SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER

We are now recruiting a Sustainability Manger to join our team at our Head Office in Stockholm

As Sustainability Manager you are responsible for strategic and practical sustainability & responsibility work, internally and externally. As Sustainability Manager you work closely with our Commercial- & Brand Directors to envision and execute our sustainability strategy. Ensuring goals, policies, and processes, is in line with the company's overall vision and values, driving us toward our key business targets securing a responsible production, decreasing our footprint, aim for a sustainable consumption as well as human rights due diligence. Your main mission is also to profile Sandqvist as forefront of responsible business and create long-term value for our consumers, customers, owners, and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall sustainability strategy, ensuring that goals, policies, and processes area in line with overall company vison and values.
  • Profile Sandqvist as a forefront of responsible business and create long-term value for our consumers, customers, owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for Fair Wear Foundation, STICA and other sustainability initiatives.
  • Responsible for reporting to Fair Wear, staying up to date on guidelines, being involved with FW and other FW member brands.
  • Responsible for STICA, implementing reduction roadmaps and other requirements within the initiative.
  • Performing risk assessment continuously on the supply chain, focusing on human rights risks.
  • Support and guide the product department with processes for monitoring and evaluating sourcing, suppliers, working conditions and human rights in our supply chain.
  • Responsible for developing the company's sustainability report and other CSR/sustainability reports.
  • Participate in internal and external CSR/supplier audits.
  • Assist the Product department in mapping and sourcing new suppliers and ensuring the Sandqvist standard of these.
  • Ensure that all suppliers and manufacturers are working within specified CSR terms and conditions.

Required skills and knowledge:

  • The successful candidate will be a business minded, well organized and highly communicative.
  • 5+ years of experience of working within sustainability and CSR.
  • Preferably experienced with working with Fair Wear Foundation.
  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable with bringing clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Adept cross-functional leader, able to navigate across very different teams and drive results.
  • Being comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Extensive experienced in working with European/Asian suppliers and manufactures.
