Leather is a natural material that ages gracefully and softens over time. However, it needs some help on the way. By regularly cleaning and applying leather balm to your leather bag, or to any of our products with leather details, you can ensure that it ages beautifully and extends its lifespan.

Our Tangent leather balm is perfect to condition your leather bag with. It is made from all-natural wool wax and pine wood oil. The pine wood oil keeps the leather soft, while the wool wax creates a semi water-repelling barrier.

With proper care, suede products will retain their appearance and age beautifully over time. Here is a little care guide.

Protection
Apply a suede/nubuck protector spray before first use and reapply periodically, especially after exposure to moisture.
Avoid direct contact with water. If the suede becomes wet, blot gently with a clean cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally. Do not use heat.

Cleaning
Use a soft suede brush or suede eraser to remove dust and light marks. Brush gently in one direction to maintain an even nap.
For dry stains, allow them to dry fully and brush lightly. Avoid liquid cleaners, soaps, or harsh chemicals.

Storage and handling
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use breathable dust bags and avoid plastic covers to prevent moisture buildup.
Avoid friction against rough surfaces, as suede is delicate and prone to marking.

To ensure your bag's longevity, it's essential to avoid machine washing. This not only preserves the bag's functionality but also minimizes environmental harm. However, there are still ways to keep your bag fresh and clean by considering alternative care methods.

Effective stain removers
Alcohol, hand soap, and dish soap is effective stain removers.

For easy stain removal: Hand soap
Gently clean the area with a sponge or cloth, and apply hand soap if necessary. The sponge or cloth should be either dry or moist depending on what material your bag is made of.

Stubborn stains: Liquid dishwashing detergent or Isopropyl alcohol
For a variety of stain removal task from spot cleaning stubborn marks to tackling grease - liquid dishwashing detergent is an effective solution. Isopropyl alcohol, also known as rubbing alcohol, can cut through tough surface oils that soaps and detergents might leave behind.

Remove berry stains
Remove berry stains with white vinegar or lemon juice.
If your bag gets a stain from berries, try removing berry stains by soaking in white vinegar or lemon juice for 5 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Remove blood stains
Remove blood stains with cold saltwater or ammonia.
To remove blood stains from your bag, promptly rinse the area with cold water and then let it soak in a solution of cold saltwater. Avoid using hot water, as it can permanently set the stain. If the blood stain has already dried, pre-treat the fabric by soaking it in a mixture of ammonia and water, then proceed with washing according to the care instructions for your specific bag. Before treating the stain, test the solution on a small, hidden section of the fabric to ensure it doesn't cause any color fading.
