Meet Bea Phosuwan, our beloved new manager at the Sandqvist London Store in Soho! She loves Thai food but doesn’t know how to cook it, used to be a volunteer at Battersea Cats and Dogs home, has a twin sister and spends many of her Sun-day mornings watching horror movies at home.

Born in Thailand, Bea moved to Sweden when she was 4 years old. She grew up in central Stockholm, but the family moved to the Stockholm suburb, Tallkro-gen (The Pine Bar, directly translated), when she was 15. For the past 8 years Bea’s lived in London and loves it. At the moment, she and her boyfriend Marc share a flat in Clapton.
“I moved to London in 2009 when I was 19, with two of my best friends and my sister. Mainly because I was tired of Stockholm, wanted to try something new and to have an adventure. And I love London! It’s a big city where there’s always something going on, great pubs, food, and a horrific rental market.”
Bea has a twin sister named Ben, who also happens to be a Sandqvist store man-ager at one of our Stockholm shops (we’re hoping to recruit the whole Phosuwan family). This is the same sister that moved with Bea to London. Ben moved back after som time but Bea stayed, moving from place to place mainly around the East London and Hackney areas.
"I really like that part of town. The crowd is nice and there are lots of nice coffee shops, restaurants, markets, bars and good parks around."
